The “Send” takes place three times a year on the square in front of the “Schloss Münster” (Münster City Palace). The name “Send” is a derivation of the German word “Synode” (Engl. ‘synod’), the meeting of clergymen and senior representatives of the diocese in Münster which has been held twice a year since the 9th century. On this occasion, a market has been held since the 11th century which differed from the regular weekly market for townspeople and lifted sales restrictions or privileges for local merchants and craftsmen. Today, you still can experience that feeling, alongside several funrides!

Send is three times a year – the largest fair in Münsterland, which attracts around one million visitors every year.
Showmen from all over Germany come to Münster in spring, summer and autumn to present nostalgic things and of course the latest sensations in rides.

A beautiful new tradition – not just for families: the family day. On Thursday, the broadcast attracts all day from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. with a 30 percent discount on all rides and entertainment. Retail stores must reduce the price of a key item by 25 percent.
Nice old tradition: there is a big fireworks display – in spring and autumn it starts around 9 p.m., in the summer around 10:30 p.m. The approx. 32,000 square meter fairground on the “Schlossplatz” (Castle Square) is located close to the city center on the “green” promenade in front of the picturesque backdrop of “Schloss Münster” (Münster castle). There are around 210 fairground businesses here for every broadcast – with high-tech high-rides for the adventurous, classic rides such as the Ferris wheel, bumper cars and carousels, amusement shops and ghost trains, nostalgic or ultra-modern show shops and many restaurants.
