St. Anne’s Museums Quarter will dedicate two exhibitions to the novel: The Buddenbrook House exhibition ” Thomas Mann’s “Der Zauberberg”: a feverish dream and the euphoria of altitude” tells of the central themes and conflicts of the text against the backdrop of a Swiss sanatorium: Death and life, desire and eroticism, politics and violence; visitors are invited to create their own utopia of the good life. In addition, the Kunsthalle St. Annen will show immersive installations by British artist Heather Phillipson on “Magic Mountain”.
