Did you know? City cards open doors to you everywhere. Bought for an affordable price they often let you use public transportation for free and give you reduced entrance fees for many sights and museums. City Cards in Germany are an excellent travel tip and a great value for travelers.

Taking the train is the way to go, as German Rail Pass (GRP) holders receive free City Cards / City Passes or other great bonuses in our member cities – *please note that restrictions apply (see below) – redeem your CityCards, etc. in each city’s tourist information center.

Here are the details of the city or regional card programs:

Aachen

GRP-Holders: You will receive a voucher kit fro free entrance to three museums in Aachen

German Rail Pass

Are your clients longing to feel the atmosphere of several of our vibrant member cities in one go? The German Rail Pass allows your clients to travel throughout the country while saving money and trouble.

Augsburg

GRP-Holders: You will receive a voucher kit that gives you free access to three museums

Bonn

GRP-Holders: You will receive a 20% discount on Bonn Regio Welcome Card at the on-site Bonn Tourist Information Center

Erfurt

GRP-Holders: You will receive a free ErfurtTravelCard

Freiburg

GRP-Holders: You will receive a free copy of “Freiburger” magazine with insider tips for your stay in Freiburg

Heidelberg

GRP-Holders: You will receive a 10% discount on the HeidelbergCard

Koblenz

GRP-Holders: You will receive a free KoblenzCard

Lübeck

GRP-Holders: Your will receive a 50% discount on entrance fees in the museums of Lübeck (exc. Hansemuseum) – show your pass at the register of each museum
